Golden Sands are in the picturesque and pure ecology bay in the northern part of the Black Sea coast and it’s situated within the territory of the Zlatni Pyasatsi natural park , which was proclaimed under protection from 1943 . The tourist complex Golden Sands is the largest one on the northern Black Sea coast and covers area of 177,13 hectares of land . They are the factors , which influenced upon the flora and fauna of the natural park and became characteristic features as compared with other such parks in Bulgaria . SEA AND BEACH
The beach stretches 3,5 km. with width of 100 meters . It is famous for the best sands beach in Europe . It has flat , fine golden sand . The sea bottom is flat too and has low slope to the depth , there is no rocks and sharp changes in the sea bottom relief .
The water is clean , transparent and calm , with low contents of salt , even lower , than in the Mediterranean Sea . It hasn’t got any dangerous for man fish and submarine inhabitants . Little children can swim safe in it .
CLIMATE
The climate is mild , temperate-continental , like the Mediterranean one .
Average temperature of air in summer is 27 degree and water is 24 degree .
There is long , warm summer , that’s why you can take sunbath from May to October . The weather is not hot because light sea wind . There isn’t big fluctuation of temperatures .
Soft and beautiful weather in early spring and late autumn gives an ideal opportunity for the balneology and sea therapy , for the conduction of congresses and conferences , for the brief rest as well .
