Nesebar is situated on the small peninsula in the Black sea , 37 km. from Bourgas , 430 km. from Sofia and 3 km. from Sunny Beach.
It ‘s famous with the beaches , which are among the largest on the Bulgarian Black sea coastline.
The town of Nesebar is one of the oldest towns in Europe and reaches in an architectural monuments of Medieval Europe. It is the successor of the ancient Thracian settlement called Mesembria founded in the Second century AD. Its mane means town of Melsa.
From 1956 Nesebar was proclaimed as an architectural and archaeological reservation. The old Nesebar is a monument of culture .
In 1983 its monuments of culture were included in the list of the world cultural legacy under UNESCO protection.
The beauty and the location of Nesebar are unique. The old town has 25 hectare and connected with the new town by narrow isthmus which length is 300 m. Seashore is situated in the new town – nearly 4 km.

The New Bishop’s Residence church “ St. Stefan “ ( 10-11 cent.),church “ St. Paraskeva “( 13-14 cent.),church “ St. Joan Aliturgetos “( 13-14 cent.).
